Quality laminate flooring collection you can rely on
Before installing the material, note the following:
Check the panels for defects under good light conditions. Claims on obviously defective panels that have already been installed will not be recognized.
Some hardwood flooring products are not suitable for damp rooms such as bathrooms.
Refer to the manufacturer’s warranty that comes inside the box. You will need the following items for flooring installation: 0.2mm PE membrane, impact sound insulation material at the minimum, spacers for expansion, tapping block, pinch bar or pull bar with protruding edge to be tapped on with a hammer, saw, hammer (500 g min.), pencil, yardstick, some glue (for heating pipes) and a line.
Laminate floors must be laid in a floating manner. Laminate must not be glued, nailed or fixed in any other way (e. g. door stops) to the floor. Timber expands. Therefore, always keep an expansion gap of ¼ inch, depending upon the room size between the panels and the walls or other fixed elements (e. g. heating pipes, door frames).
Do not install the product at a room temperature below 18 °C and a floor temperature of 15 °C. The relative atmospheric humidity should be 50-70%. Manufactured home sub floors must be thoroughly even, dry, stable, clean and solid. Any floor imperfection of more than 3mm per 1m must be repaired before installation.
First lay a damp proof PE membrane or underlayment (0.2mm thick), allowing it to run up to the wall. Overlap the sheets 20 cm and fix them with adhesive tape. This only applies to concrete floors. Then install your floor.
Note: This instruction applies to floating floors mostly.
